Rules & Regulations
1. Age
The Music Mosaic Festival is open to participants ages 4 and above.
2. Repertoire
The repertoire should include 1 (one) piece per entry. It must be performed from memory and cannot exceed 5 minutes. The performance may be stopped if the participant exceeds the allotted time. Also, please note that once the repertoire is presented during the Audition it cannot be changed and must be performed during the festival, if selected.
The repertoire for Around The Grand may include your choice of a favorite composition in ANY genre and style involving the piano or piano accompaniment.
The repertoire for Variete may include your choice of a favorite composition in ANY genre or style. Broadway, Musical Theatre, Disney, Pop, Jazz, R&B, Gospel, Folk, Country, Classical, Opera... All are welcome!
Singers: please choose your repertoire appropriate to the age of the performer.
3. How to enter
In order to participate please (a) read all Rules & Regulations, (b) submit an Online Entry Form, once available, and (c) make an appropriate payment for your participation by the deadline. After the Entry Form and payment is received you will be sent a time slot for the Audition via email. Please visit Audition & Registration page for more details.
Please note that all entry fees are quoted in USD. Forte International Music Competition and Festivals does not account or have any liability for any participants' bank fees and charges that may be levied as a result of currency conversion, foreign exchange transaction, or non-sufficient funds (NSF) transaction. Also, if a check bounces due to account closed, stop payment, fraudulent, or NSF status you will be required to pay the full face amount plus $30 penalty fee within 2 business days, in addition to any charges imposed by the participating bank or institution.
Please be advised that no late entries will be accepted after the pre-advertised late period, if applicable.
4. Accompaniment & Equipment
Accompanist
Please note that we do not provide an accompanist at this time. Therefore, please make your own arrangements if you require one. If you are having trouble finding an accompanist we may be able to recommend one to you, but we will need to know about this in advance.
Pre-recorded musical accompaniment
If you are using a pre-recorded musical accompaniment it must be provided on a CD during the Audition. It should be clearly labeled with the name of the performer(s) and the title of the entry. The CD should include professional quality recording and there should not be any other music on a CD except for the entry. An individual CD is required for each entry. Please test the CD in advance in order to ensure quality playback and bring a back-up CD just in case.
Note: We are going to keep your CD from the Audition in order to ensure that the event runs smoothly. However, we also recommend bringing a back-up CD to the festival just in case.
Sound system and microphone(s)
The sound system and microphone(s) will be provided during Variete.
5. Results of the Audition
You will be notified about the results of the Audition by email. At this time, you will also receive more information about the upcoming event. So, please make sure to provide a correct email address in the Entry Form during the registration.
6. Awards
All participants in the Music Mosaic Festival will be awarded certificates during the Awards Ceremony at the conclusion of the festival.

7. Tickets

8. Photo/Video
Please note that photography and videotaping is strictly prohibited during the festival. However, you might be able to order a photo/video of the performance online or at the event. Please, visit Photo/Video page for more details.
9. Publicity
By submitting an entry form, each participant / parent / legal guardian authorizes the use of participant's name, photo, audio and/or video recording for the publicity and advertisement purposes related to the festival by the Forte International Music Competition and Festivals.
10. General Terms and Conditions
Forte International Music Competition and Festivals is not responsible for and shall not be held liable for (a) lost, late, delayed, damaged, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, or misdirected entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; (c) failed, incomplete, partial, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; (d) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Forte International Music Competition and Festivals that may cause the festival to be disrupted; (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the festival; (f) any claims, suits, actions, liabilities, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind in connection with the festival or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prizes and awards.
All rules and regulations are subject to change without notice. By entering the Music Mosaic Festival, entrants and/or their parents or legal guardians (if such entrant is a minor) agree to accept these rules and be bound by the decisions of Forte International Music Competition and Festivals, its judges, if applicable, and staff which are final and binding in all matters.
