Due to COVID-19:

1) ONLINE: Participate in the Preliminary and Semi-Final rounds of the competition online by recording your performance, uploading it to YouTube, and providing a link to your video recording in the Entry Form during registration process. Please see guidelines for submission of video recording online below.

2) LIVE: Participate in the Final Round at Carnegie Hall live. Please note that everyone attending the Final Round must follow all safety protocols as outlined by Carnegie Hall and/or local regulations. Visit Carnegie Hall’s website for more details. Additional information will be provided via email to all finalists who qualify to participate in the Final Round.

Guidelines for submission of video recording online
  • Upload a recorded video of the performance on YouTube and specify a link in the Entry Form.
  • Please clearly indicate the name of the participant, composer, and name of the piece in the Title of the Video.
  • Video editing or pitch correction is NOT allowed.
  • The video recording cannot be older than two months prior to submission of the Entry Form and has to match with your age category at the moment of submission.
  • Appropriate dress attire is required. See Dress Code section of Rules & Regulations page for more details.
  • The face and hands of the competitor must be visible in the recording, as well as instrument handling (piano keys, strings, etc.) for instrumentalists.
  • Professional quality recording is not mandatory. However, the sound must be clearly audible.
  • Any piece containing accompaniment must be performed with such accompaniment, as it would be performed live at the Final Round. Note that an accompaniment can be piano reduction.
  • The video recording, entry form, and registration fee must be ALL received by the appropriate deadline.
International participants with Visa requirements

All confirmed international competitors requiring a Visa to enter the United States can request an official invitation letter via contact form.

Entry Form and non-refundable Registration Fee must be received by the deadline below at 11:59 PM (New York time)

The fee will cover registration costs for 2 rounds of the competition (Preliminary and Semi-Final rounds).
